Matthew McNeill is a New Zealand born artist now based in Newport, Sydney.
Matt has taken an interdisciplinary approach to his work. Initially inspired through photography, Matt studied filmmaking at AFTRS in 2004 and then went on to direct and produce a number of documentary films.

Matt’s current work is expressed via the mixed mediums of acrylic, resin and timber. The abstract nature of his work reflects a growing departure from reality and meaning, while creating a space to connect with our deepest irrationalities.
