Darren grew up in Manly- firstly in Ashburner street then Upper Greycliff Street in Queenscliff and having been thru Harbord public and Manly Boys High all his childhood memories are beach and locations in and around the northern beaches.

He now resides in Woolgoolga,  NSW a sleepy beach side hamlet north of Coffs Harbour and  paints full time after a work place accident left him “with an additional 40 hours a week to fill in”.
